PURE CAMELINA OIL
It comes straight from Picardy (yes yes!), « Cameline au pays des Merveilles » is our pure camelina oil and from organic farming. It’s an anti-acirc;ge oil naturally very rich in omega 3, 6 and 9: it regulates the production of sébum, fights against the appearance of fine lines related ées à dehydration, brings éclat and suppleness à the skin.
And as if that weren't enough, it's a dry oil: it therefore leaves no greasy film on the skin!
50ml bottle
Use it in the morning in place of your day cream, its dry texture makes it an excellent makeup base.
On the body, it makes a perfect massage oil base.
To take it a step further: add a few drops of essential oil for added sensoriality.
Camelina oil should be kept in a cool, dark place.
This oil oxidizes more quickly than our other oils, we recommend using the oil within three months of opening. The active components are less effective after that.
This is for me if:
- I want to use an easy-to-use oil to moisturize and nourish my dry skin
- I want to nourish my really dry hair and protect it quickly
- I want to use a cosmetic product that is easy to use
;I want to make homemade natural cosmetics and skincare like "day cream" or day care
Why did we select this oil?
A farmer who abandons intensive farming for organic, practices circular economy and promotes the use of natural cosmetics, it deserves to be supported right? That's what we thought too!
And more than just good feelings, the camelina oil is a great oil for quick hydration, to nourish the ends of the hair ... And to make other cosmetics based on camelina, mixing it with essential oils! Voilà which reminds us of our relationship between France and Madagascar: what better way to combine the best of both worlds?
Suggestion n°1: Daily care for skin protection
Camelina oil is nourishing and regenerating. It is easy to apply and protects the skin. What more could you ask for?
Well, you can do even better by combining the properties of camelina oil withgeranium essential oil. The latter reactivates the skin's (and hair's) production of serum, which will tone and revitalize it. The essential oil also fights against acne problems and can be applied very well on oily skin. Combined with camelina virgin oil, you have a protective shield of super-richness.
Mix in a bottle:
- 5mL camelina oil
- 3 drops of ylang ylang
Then make a face mask after exfoliating.
After the mask, massage gently to fully penetrate the oil into your skin. The composition of the oil makes it a dry oil, very easy to assimilate by the skin.
Suggestion n°2: Against heavy legs
We often tell you about the essential oil ofNiaouliagainst heavy legs, for massages after a hot day, when the legs need to be soothed and blood circulation promoted.
- 10mL of camelina virgin oil
- 7 drops of niaouli essential oil
Mix for 2mn, then apply by massaging on your legs. The composition of the oil makes it very easy to absorb, and you can combine it with calophylla oil for a longer massage.
Suggestion n°3: Hair care - multiple benefits for hair
We're going to make a simple blend, between France and Madagascar, between the French countryside and the edges of the Indian Ocean, for maximum protection and shine for your hair, with the essential fatty acids of camelina :
Place in a bottle:
- 5mL of organic camelina oil
- 6 drops of ylang ylang essential oil
Mix together, enjoy the soft and sweet aroma ofylang ylang.
Then make a hair mask. Rinse with your usual shampoo, or if you have dry hair, leave as is, the camelina oil will pore your hair without leaving a greasy film.
Do this every week and your hair will shine brightly!
Suggestion n°4: Combine its benefits with essential oils - An anti-acirc;ge facial
It is a very effective vegetable oil in support of essential oils, as it is very suitable for sensitive skin. To combat concerns such as eczema, acne or rosacea, it is quite possible to combine essential oils such as géranium rosat or the palmarosa and to combine it with complementary vegetable oils such as Coconut oil, Jojoba oil or Calophyll oil.
It's use on the skin is highly recommended in anti-aging skin care products, and we can, for example, offer you an easy recipe to fight the signs of aging.
Mix in a container:
- 2 teaspoons of virgin camelina oil
- 2 teaspoons of pure moringa oil
- 4 teaspoons of hemp oil
- 5 drops of geranium essential oil
- 2 drops of lemon essential oil
Homogenize (especially if the pièce is fresh, the moringa will then tend to freeze) and leave in the fridge (or in a dark, cool place) for more sensation when applied. Keep the mixture 2 months after opening the bottle.
.Camelina sativa (Latin name for camelina, also known as flax) has long been cultivated in France, Germany and other European countries. Abandoned after the industrial revolution, this plant is coming back in force thanks to its strong contribution in omega 3 and 6, this contribution being very balanced.
.Camelina oil in the kitchen?
The oil has come back for its consumption, it has a taste and smell of asparagus, lightly, it is not viscous so easy to use. It is best eaten raw, in salads. Its nutritional qualities make it a very interesting oil and it is more and more appreciated, including in restaurants where its taste for green tea is surprising and pleasing. It is very rich in essential fatty acids, and if it is first cold pressed, retains all the nutrients and fatty acids fighting cholesterol, memory disorders, blood clots and high blood pressure.

Camelina cultivation and pressing
Camelina is usually grown on farms practicing organic farming: it combines with other crops (in our case, lentils) and does not have a good enough yield alone, so it is bad for intensive farming.
The oil has a fluid appearance, deep golden yellow color, a very dry and non-greasy touch.

It is in a Picardy plain, in an organic lentil field that our camelina grows. The camelina grows in this temperate climate, serving as a tutor to the lentil shoots: an example of organic agriculture, where the two plants support each other, naturally.
The best essential fatty acids.
The composition of our oil is simple: 100% camelina oil (camelina sativa seed oil). Its origin is close: Picardy, France. The softness à the pure state.
Linoleic acid (Oméga-3):
Essential fatty acid. The body needs it, it doesn’t produce it naturally. Your skin needs it even more. Omega-3 is the most sought-after of the essential fatty acids.
Linoleic acid (Oméga-6):
Essential Fatty Acid. Your body needs it but does not produce it, it needs external inputs; it is because our camelina oil is richly endowed with it that it is so nourishing! Omegas 6 are very complementary to their counterparts 3 and 9, this oil has all three!
Fatty acid (Oméga-9):
The last of the essential fatty acids (after oméga-3 and oméga-6): to nourish your skin in the long term, restore its suppleness, repair it.
Vitamin E:
The natural preservative. No need to add or chemical, vitamin E is naturally present in camelina oil. Anti-acute care is this vitamin.
Vitamin C:
The most sought-after of the vitamins. Not produced by the human body, it is nevertheless it that restores éclat, élasticity; and brilliance à your skin, naturally.
CAMELINA SATIVA SEED OIL
the team's word

Le mot des fondateurs sur cette huile végétale de Cameline et ses propriétés
Propositions collected from Dorian, one evening in April.
Cameline, for us, is a special memory, because it is one of our first French oils. Just before, there was the hemp oil, at Arnaud's. This one, we covered it twice: once at François, and once at Emmanuel.
François is a farmer from the country of Beauvais in Picardy. A very good memory. He welcomed us, a little grumpy, wondering well how many questions we were going to ask him. We see the farm first, around a coffee. A bit of oil that is available, we are shown the available containers. The sentences are short and clear, François does not linger, and we do not understand very well if we dérange or not.
The cafe empties, and gulp after gulp, question after question François relaxes, then ponders longer and longer. Soon, no more need for us because he launches himself on other explanations: the soils, the fallow cycles, the different plants to feed the soil without fertilizer because everything is organic and therefore the soils need particular plants to have nutrients naturally.
.
He explains how camelina and lentil are complementary, a story of nitrogen and crop cycles. And then we are so good that he offers us a coffee again, tells us the history of the farm, the successive expansions of the farm, the different crops. Because François, we know him especially for his camel, but he is an organic farmer, one of the first for whom the organic has been a good track, when colleagues were happily continuing the conventional and looked at him with an amused eye. François is a bit like Arnaud, one of the first who believed in it, and who gave himself the means to continue and to persevere, plant after plant, hectare after hectare. And thanks to this determination, we can offer you a high quality camelina, which is also food grade, even if we are not allowed to make you drink it, because our treatments are exclusively cosmetic. It has a rather marked smell, it is an oil that we advise to smell before the use. Ça smells like green vegetables, cut grass like hemp, but with a lighter note.

Your questions about camelina vegetable oil
Camelina oil is used pure as a day care, applied directly to the face or hair.
On the face, it is an ally of sensitive skin, prevents skin aging, thanks to its composition rich in vitamin E and omega 6 (an essential fatty acid, ie not naturally produced by our body).
Use it pure (a few drops are enough on the face, then massage with the pulp of your fingers), or mixed with other natural ingredients such as moringa oil or prickly pear oil, also very useful to fight against the signs of aging.
As a hair mask, you can put some on your tips and lengths, let it sit for 30-40 minutes, and rinse with your usual shampoo. The little extra tip? Rinse your hair with cool water to tighten the hair's scales.
Camelina oil is widely used in cosmetics and wellness for its softening properties and as a natural antioxidant. Its anti-acid virtues make it a very interesting ingredient that you can find in balms, soaps, and care products for sensitive and delicate skin. We recommend it for infants, because the composition of the oil (many omega 6) makes it very well tolerated by the body. The nocircuit comes from organic farming, which allows you to use it without fear with your baby. It is therefore a very good ingredient in anti-aging face creams, products for pregnant women, and care for fine hair, which it will sublimate wonderfully!
Camelina (camelina sativa) grows in our latitudes where our temperate climate is favorable. It can withstand cold winters, and is often grown in association with other crops such as peas or lentils. Its oil is cold pressed, and it can be found in France by farmers who want to use their camelina for something else than the seed. It is a very delicate and somewhat forgotten oil, which we wanted you to (re)discover.
.It smells very vivid and reminiscent of green vegetables. It is quite disappointing at first, and many people tell us that they like it a lot, others that it is too particular and that they prefer more neutral smells. If you have any doubt, ask us without worries, we can direct you :)
It is one of the most indicated oils for toddlers, due to its composition adapted to the most fragile skins. For this reason, it is recommended to pregnant and breastfeeding women, and to people with very sensitive skin. In this, it is similar to the Calendula oil, also known to be very well tolerated by all skin types and to be hypoallergenic.
.Be careful, however, if you wish to use it in addition to an essential oil, as essential oils contain alcohols that can be poorly tolerated and are prohibited for infants.
Used pure, therefore, it is very suitable for infants and people with very sensitive skin, a must if you want a minimalist and 100% natural routine!
Camelina oil is a fragile and sensitive oil à oxidation. The most important thing is to keep it away from the outside air, in its bottle for example. To avoid oxidation, you can also try to place it in a smaller container when the quantity in the bottle decreases. Finally, you can place it in the fridge if you think the place you live in is prone to big temperature changes.
Here at home of course! Why? Because we guarantee quality, traceability, our glass and bamboo bottles are so cute, and we're so proud of our products that we tell you about them in mini podcasts to explain their origin and how we found them. :)
