Before each shampoo, apply it to your scalp, massaging with your fingertips to activate blood microcirculation, leave it on for a few hours (or even overnight!) then wash your hair: it becomes soft and shiny!

Massage your nails and cuticles with a tiny amount of oil to quickly (and naturally!) make them longer and stronger.

This is for me if:

- I want a unique texture (castor oil flows slowly through the fingers, the o&e of more fluid oils like kukui oil or camelina oil are more difficult to dose "by hand") - I want an oil that is suitable for all hair types

- I want to do anti aging micro-care, like on the eyelids or fine lines around the eyes for example, castor oil is a very good cosmetic agent, ideal to fight locally against premature aging of the skin

- I want to strengthen my hair, eyelashes and eyebrows from the first use

Why did we select it?

The castor oil, it is simply the effect we saw on our hair (and beard) that convinced us: and not just any castor oil, but this one in particular. Unrefined, unfiltered, it looks different from the usual castor oils: thicker, more opaque, less yellow and darker, its appearance is amazing. And its effect impresses.

Suggestion n°1: Hair fortification, in oil bath

Twice a week for a month, make yourself a little beauty and care ritual based on castor oil. Wet your hair lightly, then apply the castor oil starting at the ends to the hair and scalp, massaging it in. Wrap hair in a warm damp towel and leave on for at least 30 minutes before shampooing.

After half an hour of laying under a warm towel, massage the scalp to stimulate hair growth, and follow with your regular shampoo. Castor oil strengthens the hydrolipidic film that protects the hair fiber.

Be sure, however, to take a month-long break every two months to avoid getting your skin used to this regular fatty acid intake.

Suggestion n°2: Healing Oil for Dry Hands

Mix in a small bottle:

- 50 mL castor oil

- 30 mL of virgin camelina

- 20 mL of kukui

- 30 drops of Ylang-Ylang

- 10 drops of Geacute;ranium bourbon

Suggestion n°3: Nail Strengthening

This is one of the only vegetable oils suitable and truly effective for this purpose.

On your nails, apply a few drops of Mira castor oil twice a week and see the effects in the first week. To thin the oil, you can mix it 50/50 with vital mustard oil.

For your personal enjoyment, don't hesitate to add a few drops of palmarosa or bourbon gum and let it transport you!

Suggestion n°4: Strengthen eyelashes and eyebrows

Like its white castor counterpart, this pure vegetable oil is quite effective in strengthening eyelashes and eyebrows!

Watch out for the eyes, because vegan oils are naturally slightly acidic, and here, it's not about hurting yourself to make yourself feel better!"

Apply it directly to eyelashes and eyebrows, two to three times a week, ideally right before showering, to rinse off afterwards. Like virgin castor oil, red castor is peaceful, and you can if necessary mix this oil 50 / 50 with a neutral oil, or a more oily oil like avocado or Coconut oil.

What we wonder about carapate oil, or red/black castor oil.

What is the difference between red castor oil (carapate) and virgin castor oil?

Red castor oil is artisanal and has a roasted odor, because it comes itself from the press of roasted castor seeds,

The white castor oil as for it is virgin, from first cold pressing of the seeds,

The first one has slightly more ricinolic acid (for hair growth, eyelashes, eyebrows and nails), and the second one more vitamins,

What are the benefits of carapate oil?

How is carapate oil made?

Carapate oil comes from a very local know-how à Madagascar, where some entire villages are organized around the production of this oil. It is a very songulitic method of manufacturing in the world of oils.

The castor seeds (ricinus communis, like white castor), are roasted and then ground in very thick jars, into which the seed can be knocked. This very mechanical extraction process has been mastered for generations to obtain a high quality and intense carapate oil. The active principles linked to the shoot are more concentrated thanks to this technique, especially the ricinolic acid, on the other hand the vitamins, which are very fragile to heat, will be much less important in this oil than in its virgin analogue: white castor oil.

Like this counterpart by the way, ricin (a feared toxic protein naturally present in the seed) is very little present in it, so you get the benefits of the beautiful red castor oil, without moderation.

This is a very artisanal oil that is quite thick like virgin castor oil, and subject to slight variations in texture.

How to use carapate oil on hair and how to apply it

On the hair, this oil is very often used as an oil bath, let it sit on your hair for 30 minutes, or even overnight wrapped in a warm towel. What is its natural smell and color?

Question: Je ne veux pas abimer mes cheveux d'avantages ! Après chaques lavages ils sont secs ! Et quand je les brosses, j'en perds beaucoup ! Ils sont lisses mais epais. je cherche vraiment à les rendre plus fort et plus soyeux ! L'huile végétale de ricin pourrait être bénéfique ? Est-ce bien une huile qui se met de manière journalière sur les cheveux ? Ce qui les nourrit efficacement et leur donne une legère touche de gras pour qu'ils puissent être maniable la journée ?

Bonjour Mike, Oui l'huile de ricin est l'une des huiles les plus recommandées pour activer la pousse des cheveux et de tous les capillaires. En revanche, il faut bien la choisir. Beaucoup n'arrivent pas aux résultats escomptés car leur huile n'est pas pure et non naturelle. La notre est 100% pure, naturelle et bio. C'est une huile plutôt épaisse mais qui ne colle pas. Elle s'utilise soit seule, en grande quantité, en masque sur les cheveux avant un shampooing, soit en plus petite quantité pour texturiser le cheveu, quotidiennement. Vous pouvez très bien faire les deux. Il faut savoir que des cheveux fins ce sont avant tout des cheveux asséchés. Vos cheveux doivent être hydratés par masques réguliers ainsi que la fibre capillaire soit nourrie dès la pointe, d'où la nécessité de faire des masques. À votre masque à l'huile de ricin peut s'ajouter l'huile de baobab, une huile épaisse et pour le coup qui ne s'utilise qu'en masque, c'est l'une des huiles les plus hydratantes qui existe.

Bonjour, la meilleure utilisation de l'huile de ricin est en masque : vous faites un masque que vous laissez au minimum une heure, mais nous vous recommandons de le laisser toute la nuit. Vous faites ensuite votre shampoing usuel. Vous pouvez également mélanger l'huile de ricin à votre crème ou produit usuel pour les cheveux (une noisette dans le produit, l'huile de ricin étant bien visqueuse), puis vous utilisez votre produit pour les cheveux comme d'habitude.

Comme vous le dites si bien, le fer à lisser desseche les cheveux et c'est ensuite un cercle vicieux.. plus sec, ils frisottent de plus en plus et vous utilisez plus souvent votre fer à lisser.

En terme de soin, les huiles sont de bons alliés. Un bain d huile minimum 30 min avant de vous laver les cheveux avec de l'huile de baobab, d'avocat ou notre ricin l'enchanteur, très hydratantes, peut déjà vous aider.

Ensuite un shampoing sans tension actif trop décapants (les fameux sodium lauryl/lauteth sulfates) et surtout un après shampoing riche et tres hydratant.

Une fois vos cheveux lavés, retour à la case huile. Avocat ou jojoba. Sur les longueurs et les pointes pour les nourrir.

Il existe des méthodes sans chaleur pour lisser vos cheveux : la méthode du kardoune ou du wrap par exemple.

Tous les jours une petite quantité d huile de jojoba sur les pointes peut aider à les protéger de la casse et du dessèchement.

Tous ces conseils naturels sont efficaces et ont fait leur preuve. Néanmoins, couplés à un appareil chauffant, leur effet est considerablement réduit..

Essayez d'utiliser un appareil chauffant maximum une fois par semaine.

Merci pour votre question : c'est vrai que l'on vous doit bien des données plus détaillées.

Plus précisément, notre huile de ricin rouge a un taux d'acide ricinoléïque plus élevé que le ricin blanc : c'est cet acide qui fait la spécifité de l'huile de ricin, qui lui donne cette propriété de favoriser la pousse des cheveux, des ongles, cils.

En contre partie l'huile de ricin rouge a des taux d'omega-9 et d'acide palmitique moins élevés que le ricin blanc. Les acides gras comme l'omega-9 ou l'omega-6 sont connus pour être très bon pour nourrir la peau, hydrater sur le long terme ; l'acide palmitique permet une utilisation plus facile du produit : cela signifie que l'huile de ricin blanc part plus facilement lors de votre rinçage (au shampoing naturel j'espère !).

Il n'y a pas de donnée précise pour la repousse des cheveux : il ne s'agit pas de médicament, c'est un produit naturel, cela dépend donc de chacun ! Pour savoir si l'huile de ricin est efficace, il y a de nombreuses publications scientifiques et articles sur le sujet : la très forte présence d'acide ricinoléïque et de vitamines E permettent de favoriser la pousse des cheveux et de fortifier ces derniers.

Enfin, l'utilisation de l'huile de ricin accélère la pousse des cheveux, l'huile de ricin ne fait pas pousser les cheveux d'une longueur exacte : c'est l'utilisation régulière de l'huile de ricin qui est efficace.
